That's Gabe Goldman (upper left), the Brandeis-Bardin naturalist taking some of us women on a nature walk on the 3,200 acres!
Lots of trees, and loved the nursing cows. I loved mooing with the cows. They only stared at me.
Each year I see different animals: horses, rattle snake, wolf? or mountain cat, and noisy gorgeous PEACOCKS that live in trees.
If you can't figure out the dark photo, that's a couple women wearing in their fanny packs and pockets, the Fig tree barren branches I donate. I cut down from my 32 year old FIG tree, 100 branches with beautiful tips to give to the women for Tu B'Shvat, the Birthday of the Trees. Each year I do this and there are lots of new fig trees planted. Where Gabe is standing, there will be new fig trees.
Ruth Shapiro, metal artist (middle right), is displaying the Hamsa copper pendant that I made in workshop with her expertise assistance. I added hearts and Mogen Dovids. I LOVE BEING JEWISH.
Join us next year at this joyous and restful Shabbaton organized by AJU's Judy Uhrman, and led by Rabbi Toba August and Cantor Cindy Paley.
I love serving as Sounds of Joy percussionist with my drums and crystal and Tibetan Singing Bowls. - Joy
